A Journey for Forever
Music heard softly in the background, anxious thoughts, and quickened heartbeat. Waiting. Waiting. The Moment's here, a million thoughts pervade, nervousness creeps in, excitement for the day. The entrance open, and bursting forth he sees, his beauty adorned in glorious white, his true delight, his Bride. Her groom before her none can compare, their love for each other a love so rare. A love that far surpasses feelings and emotion, a love committed for nothing to be spared. Each step she takes, one breath closer to her beloved, no fear before her nor anxious thoughts remain, only her true love the one in whom her heart she doth share. None to the left or right does she see, only his eyes and smile gleaming for everyone to see. A giddy girl before him stands a girl dressed in white to become his wife. A vow and covenant is forged before our Holy God, a promise of forever whatever trials are sure to come. Our love has not been forged in fairytales or dreams, but in a fierce fight against a powerful enemy. Days have come and days have gone, season of wearisome and wounds have nearly overcome, but God in all His Grace has encompassed us about and fought the fight before us when our flame has nearly gone out. A near decade had gone by since I a giddy bride, but today I solemnly swear that I will always be by your side. My love for you is not founded in earthly things but seen through the eyes of HIS great delight for thee.
